    For Essay Three we will write an analysis of gender as it exists in America today. Your thesis should answer the following question: What are the effects of a two-gender system on social economic political and/or family structure and how does embracing a model of fluid or multiple gender identities affect these social structures?
    Please note that you are not being asked to argue whether gender is intrinsic whether a two-gender system or good or bad or any other yes/no question and that it would not be appropriate to do so here. Instead focus on how the reigning idea of two genders fits into our social structure (and its economic political and familial consequences) and how changing that which has begun to happen changes society.
    You must use at least three sources from this unit in your book. In addition you must also find at least one outside source . Your paper should be at least 1000 words in MLA format and should discuss the issue of gender and hegemony WITHOUT engaging your personal beliefs around this topic.
