Discussion 1:
Part of being an effective ethical leader means being able to interpret data and use it to make informed decisions. Using data to support decision making often strengthens yours explanation of your decisions to the stakeholders involved. Data can often serve as a tangible component of decision making which can be viewed as a subjective topic. 1. A description of the phrase data-driven decision making in relation to integrity issues.
2. An examination of appropriate forms of collecting analyzing and reporting student data.
3. An examination of how data can make decision making more transparent.
4. An analysis of ways in which data can assist you in defending your decisions to the stakeholders at your school site or agency.
5. A reflection of personal experiences and using examples a discussion of the ways that you have either used data to inform decisions or witnessed individuals using data to inform decisions.
Discussion 2:
Typically all organizations have codes of ethics by which they govern their decisions and conduct. This weeks assignment requires you to create a professional code of ethics. This discussion helps you prepare for the Week Four assignment by exploring and analyzing various codes of ethics from various educational institutions. Initial Post:Construct a post that:
1. Compares and contrasts two codes of ethics by using the codes provided below or one from your school/organization or an organization that interests you.
2. Include a rationale for why you selected the codes you did to compare an explanation of the paradigm(s) (concept or thought pattern) that each code reflects and
3. Construct a table to outline the key components of your comparison/contrast.
