You can use these graphs to find the solubility of an element at certain temperatures in one hundred grams of water. You can also use it to tell whether a solution is unsaturated saturated or super-saturated. If you have a solution with x g of a substance in one hundred g of water you can refer to the graph. find the temperature that the compound is at along its line and however many g of that substance are to the left is how much would be considered a saturated substance in one hundred g of water.
    As well if you have x g of a substance at a certain temperature in an amount of water that is not one hundred g you can set up a ratio. It would be x/how many g of water you have=y/100 g of water. X would be solved for and y can be found by looking at the table. Then x is how many g of the would be considered saturated for that amount of water etc.
    You can also solve problems such as finding if some amount of solute in amount of water is unsaturated saturated or super saturated. If it’s in one hundred g of water look at the chart. If the grams of the solute is above the saturation line it is super saturated and if it is below that substance’s saturation line it is unsaturated. If you are not given one hundred g of water then again set up a ratio leaving x above the amount of water that you are trying to find for. Then once you have x (which will be the amount needed for saturation) you can see if the value you were given is saturated unsaturated or super saturated.
