    1) He said she said. Choose two different characters who are in a situation in which one confronts the other as having done something wrong or as having broken the rules or an agreement. Tell about the incident from BOTH characters’ perspectives using first person POV. The goal is to show how each views/distorts things in his or her favor. (Note: make the characters one female and one male so you get to write from the POV of a different gender.)

    2) Place your character in a situation that should be familiar but isn’t (your character has temporary amnesia perhaps and is trying to determine what reality is). From the characters’ POV detail the situation using concrete sensory details that help the character determine reality.
