4. Acts 2 details the Holy Spirit empowering the disciples to preach the message of Jesus to the crowd in Jerusalem that day. In Acts 1, Jesus, just before he left, told the disciples "you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth." Genesis 1 is the account of creation by God. There are a couple of reasons why this is important. First, all that God created was good. We see this mentioned throughout Genesis 1 in reference to creation. This means that everything was created exactly the way God intended. He was pleased with what he created. Sin had not yet cursed the earth because man had not yet freely sinned against God.
Second, the creation account is evidence for those who hold to Judaism (and Christianity) that God gave life to everything. God is worthy of worship and praise because of the life he gave.
