Canu help me fill out these questions I’ve done some of them
1. What is your research question? My research question is How does the reliability of eyewitness testimony differ between age and gender? This research question is important because basic on the grounds that the precision of observer recollections is rough in light of the path that there are different segments affect the creation and support of the memory for the occasion and that mixed up bystander perceiving confirmation expect a critical part in the wrongful conviction of flawless people. Along these lines by understanding passerby steady quality we can stop wrongful sentiments.
2. What is your hypothesis or hypotheses? What is the null hypothesis? My hypothesis is that females will have a higher level of accuracy in memory recall then males while children are more prone to suggestibility.
My null hypothesis: there is no difference between the male and female accuracy in memory recall nor are children prone to suggestibility.
3. How many participants would you like to use and why? For this experiment we would use convenience sampling to obtain test subjects that would generalize the population. For this study I would use some were around 180 participants 90 females and 90 males from ages 12-55. I choose 180 participants to have an even number of participants as well as split gender to evenly represent both equally. They would be split into four different age groups 12-18 19-30 31-44 45-55. This would place 45 people in each age group for the study; the age range is set from12-55 to cover a wide range of the population. As for race and ethnicity would be as evenly divided as possible among the groups. What are the inclusion characteristics i.e. what must they have in order to be included in your study (for example gender diagnosis age personality traits etc.)? The characteristics they would need to have in order to be included in the study are gender ages of 12-55. Are there any exclusion characteristics i.e. are there certain characteristics that would exclude them from being in your study? Our exclusion would be people under 12 and above 55 years of age could not participate. Does the sample need to be diverse? Why or why not? I believe my sample does need to be diverse to be able to generalize my study findings to the general population. This study cannot be complete with only females and expect the results to be generalizable to males also.
4. What sampling technique will be used to collect your sample? I would use convenience sampling because of my limited access to the populations. A convenience sampling is made up of people who are easy to reach. My convenience sample would involve What population does your sample generalize to. the generalize population would be young children to older adults from the ages of 12-55.
5. What are the variables in your study?HINT:Refer back to your hypothesis or hypotheses. The variables in my study are gender age and memory
6. Provide operational definitions for each variable. Genderis defined as any person of male or female gender born. Age is people of ages from 12-55. Memory is defined as how a person recalls memory of events.
7. How will you measure each variable? Discuss the reliability and validity of these measures in general terms.
8. What technique will be used for data collection (e.g. observation survey interview archival etc.)?
9. What type of research design is being used?
10. Briefly discuss the procedure that would be followed when conducting the research.
11. What are somePOTENTIALethical issues? How might they be addressed?
