MBA 665 Module Eight Small Group Discussion Rubric Your active participation in the discussion topics is essential to your overall success this term. Discussion questions are designed to help you make meaningful connections between the course content and the larger concepts and goals of the course. These discussions offer you the opportunity to express your own thoughts, ask questions for clarification, and gain insight from your classmates’ responses and instructor’s guidance. For this small group discussion, submit a draft of recommendations for your final project and conduct a peer review. Your instructor will assign you to a small group and establish a discussion topic for each group. Post a copy of the recommendations that you intend to make in your final project submission. To get the most out of this peer review, your recommendations should be in as close to final form as you can make them. In responding to at least two of your peers, provide constructive peer review featuring a detailed discussion of the strengths of the paper as well as areas that could be improved. Ask questions designed to help your peers reflect upon their recommendations and deepen their analyses and support. Keep the tone of your comments positive and constructive, and review the Recommendations section of the Final Project Guidelines and Rubric document before beginning your review to help guide your response. Requirements for Discussion Topic Assignments Students are required to post one (1) initial post and to follow up with other group members. For your initial post (1) you must:

 Compose a post of one to two paragraphs.

 Complete the initial post by Thursday at 11:59 p.m. of your local time zone of the module week.

 Take into consideration material such as course content and other discussion topics from the current module and previous modules, when appropriate.

For your response posts you must:

 Reply to at least two members of your group.

 Complete the two response posts by Sunday at 11:59 p.m. of your local time zone.

 Demonstrate more depth and thought than simply stating “I agree” or “You are wrong.” Guidance is provided for you in each discussion prompt.
